I began coaching in 2011 and continued through 2018 before stepping away from skating to pursue my career in EMS and nursing. Returning to the sport as an adult has given me a new perspective as both an athlete and a coach, and a greater appreciation for the different paths that bring people to figure skating.

I work with skaters on Skating Skills, jumps, spins, program development, choreography, competition preparation, and off-ice training and conditioning.
I especially enjoy working with adult skaters and skaters returning to the sport after time away. Having returned to competitive skating myself after an eight-year break, I understand firsthand that adult skating comes with its own challenges, and that meaningful goals in this sport don't have an expiration date.
My coaching style emphasizes strong fundamentals, safety, communication, confidence, and healthy athlete development. My background as registered nurse has also shaped the way I approach athlete safety, physical development, and communication. I have a strong interest in fitness, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and overall wellness, and enjoy incorporating appropriate off-ice training into skating development. I have also choreographed several of my own competitive programs and enjoy helping skaters develop musicality, movement, confidence, and individual expression on the ice. Whether a skater is working toward a test or competition, developing new skills, returning to the ice after years away, or simply wants to become a stronger and more confident skater, my goal is to meet them where they are and help them progress toward their individual goals.
